Mr. Murtaza Ali is the COO and the Company Secretary at NBP FUNDS. He is a Chartered Accountant by profession. Prior to joining NBP FUNDS, he served Union Leasing Limited as CFO & Company Secretary for a period of almost 5 years. He completed his articles from A.F. Ferguson & Co. (Chartered Accountants), a member firm of Price Water House Coopers. In this capacity, he conducted and finalized audits of several businesses.

What is your typical day at work like?

As COO & Company Secretary it is my responsibility to ensure that all the different aspects of the Company are running smoothly and so a typical day at work is never the same. I generally start my day by going through my emails and keeping abreast of the latest news and information.

As a COO, how do you manage multiple responsibilities and organize your time?

I believe the key to properly managing my duties is to prioritize my responsibilities based on the overall value addition they bring to the efficient running of the Company without compromising on professional ethics and integrity

What is your biggest strength?

I think my biggest strength is my ability to view a situation from multiple perspectives which has helped me in making holistic decisions that affect multiple departments to ensure that the company grows in an efficient manner

Who is your role model and why?

My father, Mr. Muhammad Amin Chishti, has been both my role model and mentor, whose encouragement and guidance has led me to grow both personally and professionally. His advice has been an important influence in shaping my life, including my decision to pursue my C.A qualification and it is through his example that I have developed my own character and work ethic which includes my firm belief in discipline, prioritization and keeping an open mind.
