As a CTO, what significant improvements have you implemented to our IT infrastructure?

I have been fortunate to join NBP Funds from its beginning; hence I was involved in creating the entire IT infrastructure. We have successfully developed and implemented our Core Business Application, Digital Archiving, and Business Continuity Plan. Currently, we are focusing on creating a skill set for mobile technologies which will further facilitate and allow ease to our customers.

What is the goal of your department?

Our goal is to provide a robust and secure IT infrastructure that supports On-Demand access to information to all stakeholders. We have modernized, secured, and scaled our IT infrastructure to accomplish these goals. This ensures that throughout the company we connect all individuals to ensure that they are enabled to perform their task as and when required.

How do you keep up to date with technology trends?

In order to get the most out of technology and to compete in today's business environment, it is important to keep up to date with technology trends. Even though there are many mediums available, I prefer reading technology magazines, attending Webinars, watching technology related videos, and visiting technology forums.

Why did you decide to move back to Pakistan?

After completing my Master's degree from the US, I worked there for 6 years on cutting edge technologies to develop my core competence in providing Software solutions. At that time, I made a decision to move back to Pakistan and share my technical knowledge with my fellow Pakistanis.
